VFX studio · Hyderabad, India
VFX services
Padmasri ImageWorks is an artist-led, AI-driven VFX studio in Hyderabad. Experienced artists make every creative call and finish every shot. AI and machine learning do the repetitive groundwork, like first-pass mattes and camera solves, which leaves the artists more hours for the detail work that sells a shot. An artist reviews every AI output before it ships.
Rotoscopy & prep
Artist-led, AI-assisted
Every comp starts with good mattes and a clean plate. AI pulls the first-pass roto, and our artists refine it frame by frame, by hand where the edges get difficult.
- AI-generated mattes, refined frame by frame by artists
- Hand roto for hair, motion blur and fine edges
- Rotomation for moving objects and actors
- Paint and cleanup: wire, rig, marker and crew removal
- Clean plates, object and logo removal
- Beauty work, digital make-up and de-aging cleanup
- Depth, normal and matte passes for compositing
Tracking & matchmove
AI solves, artist-verified
CG only sits in a plate when the camera is right. AI solves the camera, and a matchmove artist checks and refines the solve before anyone builds on it.
- AI camera solves, verified by a matchmove artist
- Object and set tracking
- Body, face and performance tracking
- Planar tracking for screen and monitor inserts
- Lens distortion analysis, undistort and redistort
- Survey, LiDAR and photogrammetry-aided solves
- Stabilisation and retiming
Compositing
The finishing layer
Compositing is where the plate and everything we add become one image. Our compositors work each element in until you can't see the join.
- CG integration with multi-pass and deep compositing
- Green and blue screen keying, including difficult edges
- Set extensions and digital environment integration
- Screen replacement, graphics and UI inserts
- Day-for-night, weather and atmosphere work
- Colour, grain and lens matching to the plate
- AI upscaling, denoising and frame interpolation, artist-checked
3D, CG & assets
Built from scratch or from scans
We build characters, props, vehicles and environments from the first model to the final render. When CG goes into a live-action plate, we light it to match.
- Modelling: characters, props, vehicles and hard-surface
- Texturing, shading and lookdev (PBR, UDIM, procedural)
- Rigging and animation for creatures, characters and props
- Physically based lighting and rendering, matched to the plate
- Digital doubles, scans and photogrammetry-based assets
FX & simulation
Procedural and AI-assisted
Smoke, fire, water and anything that has to break on camera. Our FX artists build each simulation, then art-direct it until it moves the way the shot needs.
- Particles, smoke, fire, explosions and debris
- Water and other fluids
- Destruction and rigid-body simulation
- Cloth, hair and fur simulation
- Crowds and environment-scale effects
- Procedural and AI-assisted FX, directed by artists
Environments & matte painting
2D, 2.5D and 3D
When the location can't give you the shot, we paint or build what's missing, from a sky replacement to a full 3D environment.
- 2D and 2.5D matte painting
- 3D digital environments and set extensions
- Concept art, look development and previs art
- Sky replacement and background build-outs
Virtual production & previs
Before and during the shoot
Previs and techvis let you work the shot out before the shoot day. For the shoot itself, we prepare Unreal Engine environments for LED volumes and supervise VFX on set.
- Previs, techvis and postvis
- Real-time environments in Unreal Engine
- Content preparation for LED volumes
- On-set VFX supervision and data capture advice

10 FAQ
Quick questions
Where does AI fit in, and who has the final say?
AI takes the first pass at repetitive work like mattes, camera solves, cleanup and upscaling. Our artists check and refine everything it produces, and they make all the creative calls. Nothing leaves the studio without an artist's sign-off, and after that the final say is yours.
What should I send to get a quote?
Tell us what the project is, how many shots it has and what each one needs, plus your deadline and delivery format. A sample plate and a few references help us quote accurately. If you only have some of that, send it anyway and we'll follow up.
What formats and colour pipeline do you work in?
We work in colour-managed ACES pipelines and deliver DI-ready files to broadcast, cinema and OTT specs. Tell us your camera and delivery spec in your first email and we'll confirm the workflow before work starts.
How do we share footage securely?
Tell us your production's security and NDA requirements in your first email. We'll agree on a transfer method with you before any footage changes hands.
Where are you based, and what time zone are you in?
We're in Hyderabad, India, on IST (UTC+05:30). If you're working from another time zone, tell us where and we'll plan calls around both working days.
Which industries do you work in?
Feature films, web series and OTT, television, commercials and ads, music videos, games and cinematics, and architectural and product visualisation.
Can you build AI tools for our own pipeline?
Yes. As well as shot work, we build custom machine learning tools for studios and productions. Tell us which part of your pipeline eats the most hours and we'll talk it through.
