Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data psimageworks.com collects and what we do with it. In short: very little. The site has no forms, cookies, analytics or trackers. We only receive what you choose to email us, plus the basic request logs our web host keeps.
Who we are
Padmasri ImageWorks is a visual effects studio in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The business behind it is [Legal entity name] ([Entity type, e.g. sole proprietorship / LLP / private limited]), registered at [Registered address]. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean that business.
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act"), we are the Data Fiduciary for personal data collected through psimageworks.com: we decide how it's used, and we're responsible for it. This page is also our privacy policy under the Information Technology Act, 2000.
What we collect
If you email us at contact@psimageworks.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include, such as your name, company, signature and attachments.
When your browser loads a page, our web host, Vercel, automatically records standard request logs: your IP address, browser and device type, the date and time, and the page requested. Vercel may also work out your approximate location (city or country) from your IP address.
That's all. Please don't email us sensitive personal information such as financial or health details, and read our terms before sending confidential project material.
How we use it
We use your emails to reply to you, discuss the work you asked about and keep a record of our conversation. You choose to send us these details so that we can reply, and we treat that as your consent to this use and nothing else. You can withdraw it at any time (see Your rights).
We use request logs only to keep the site secure and working. We may also use or disclose personal data when the law requires it, or to protect our legal rights. We don't sell it, use it for advertising or add you to a mailing list.
Processing outside India
Vercel serves our pages from data centres around the world, and our email service provider may store email outside India. So your personal data may be processed in other countries, including the United States. We only transfer it in ways Indian law allows, and we choose providers that protect it at least as well as Indian law requires of us.
How long we keep it
If an enquiry doesn't lead to work, we delete the emails within two years of our last exchange. Emails about a project become part of our business records, and we keep them for as long as the project agreement and the law, such as tax rules, require. Vercel keeps request logs for a limited period. If the law requires us to keep anything for longer, we keep it only for that purpose.
Security and breaches
The whole site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, only the people who handle enquiries can read our inbox, and we use established providers with their own security programmes. No system is completely secure, though. If a breach affects your personal data, we'll tell you without delay, explain what happened and what you can do, and report it to the Data Protection Board of India and CERT-In as the law requires.
Children
This site is for businesses and professionals, not for anyone under 18. If you're under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us for you. If we learn that we've received a child's personal data without verifiable consent from a parent or lawful guardian, we'll delete it.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, you can:
- get a summary of the personal data we hold about you, how we use it and who we've shared it with
- have it corrected, completed, updated or erased
- withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us; we'll then stop using your data and delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it
- nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to
- raise a grievance with us and, if you're not satisfied, with the Data Protection Board of India
To make a request, email contact@psimageworks.com, ideally from the address you used before. We may ask you to confirm who you are. There's no charge, and we'll reply within one month. You can also ask for this policy in any language listed in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution of India.
Grievance Officer
Our Grievance Officer handles questions and complaints about personal data:

We'll resolve your grievance within one month of receiving it. If you're not satisfied, you can then complain to the Data Protection Board of India, using the process the Board makes available.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page when our practices or the law change, and change the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data you've already sent us, we'll tell you.
